Fiber Bragg Grating Reflectors are engineered to reflect light back through the fiber when entering via connectors. These components can be used to create fiber interferometers or build low-power fiber lasers. They are particularly well-suited for accurately measuring back-reflection specifications in transmitters, amplifiers, and other optical devices.
Our fiber returners are available in single-mode (SM), polarization-maintaining (PM), and multimode (MM) fiber variants. The fiber ferrule features a protective silver-coated layer that delivers an average reflectivity of ≥97.5% across the 450 nm to maximum wavelength range. Encased in a φ9.8mm (0.39-inch) stainless steel housing, the ferrule's end connects to either a 2.0mm narrow-pin connector (FC/PC, compatible with SM/PM/MM fibers) or an FC/APC connector (compatible with SM/PM fibers). For PM fibers, the narrow pin is precisely aligned with the fiber's slow axis. Each jumper cable includes a protective cap to prevent dust or contaminants from adhering to the ferrule's end.
